Please bookmark this site or add it to your favorites, because beginning Monday, March 1, 2004, About.com's chat rooms are closing.

Here is some basic information about these new rooms:

• THE RULES REMAIN THE SAME
• THE PASSWORDS REMAIN THE SAME
• THE HOSTS WILL BE THE SAME, WITH A FEW NEW ADDITIONS

There are some special Guidelines that apply throughout the Abuse/Incest Support site. All chatters must be familiar with these Guidelines and abide by them.

If you would like the passwords for Rooms 2 and 3 and 4, please read the Guidelines and follow the instructions there. You should receive a reply within a few days.

If you have any problems or questions, from questions about chatting or dealing with offensive users to questions about the healing process, surviving, and thriving, please send me an email at incestabuse.guide@about.com.

Room 1:
Abuse/Incest Support is open to the public. Topics will similar to what you might discuss at any public place. Remember, both adults and children could be present. Read the Guidelines before you enter.

Room 2:
For Survivors is for survivors of incest, physical and emotional abuse, and rape. Intense emotions and sensitive topics will occur often in this room, which is password protected. New passwords need to be requested. Please see the Guidelines for more information.

Room 3:
Safe Room is password protected. This room is for members to go to when they don't feel safe in Room 1. Please see the Guidelines for more information.

Room 4:
Moderated Chats Only is a password protected room that is being set aside for Moderated Chats only. Please request the new password from Doug. When a private chat is scheduled for this room, respect that chat and do not enter unless you have been invited.
